Are True-Flite rifle barrels made in New Zealand?
Yes. True-Flite manufactures rifle barrels in Gisborne, New Zealand. The business began barrel production in September 1995 and supplies customers in New Zealand and overseas.
What is the True-Flite Ultra-Match range?
Ultra-Match is our match-grade rifle barrel range. Contact us to discuss the available configuration and supply format for your rifle project.
Do you manufacture 416R stainless rifle barrels?
Yes. Our stainless barrel range uses 416R stainless steel. We also offer carbon-wrapped barrels as a separate range.
Do you supply custom barrel lengths and contours?
Yes. Choose any finished length from 16″ to 34″ in the Barrel Builder, pick a published contour, enter custom knox and muzzle dimensions, or ask us to match your current barrel.

Can True-Flite fit a replacement barrel to my rifle?
Yes. Our Gisborne workshop offers rebarrelling and specialist gunsmithing. Send us your rifle make, model and proposed work to discuss a fitted barrel quote.
Do you offer barrel fluting and Aerocell?
Yes. Straight, spiral and diamond fluting, or Aerocell, True-Flite’s distinctive pocket-pattern fluting. A fitted Ultra-Match barrel with Aerocell is $2,250 incl GST. For an existing barrel, ask us and we confirm suitability for the project.
How much does a True-Flite barrel cost?
An Ultra-Match 416R stainless barrel blank up to 30″ is $917.70 incl GST ($798 + GST). A fitted Ultra-Match barrel, chambered, crowned and fitted to your rifle with a muzzle thread and bead blast, is $1,750 incl GST. A fitted Aerocell barrel is $2,250 incl GST and a fitted carbon-wrapped barrel is $2,400 incl GST. Price your exact spec in the Barrel Builder.
What is the current barrel lead time?
Typically 6–8 weeks, depending on the configuration, production bookings and any fitting work. We confirm a current estimate with your quote.
Can I design and order a barrel online?
Yes. The True-Flite Barrel Builder lets you choose calibre, twist, chambering, finished length, contour, fluting and finish, shows a live drawing and price, and sends the build sheet straight to the workshop. We confirm the spec before production.
Can you supply customers outside New Zealand?
We accept international enquiries and supply through overseas agents as well as direct enquiries where appropriate. Contact us with your destination so availability, documentation and delivery arrangements can be confirmed.
