Shipping & Delivery
Within New Zealand our freight service provider is Fastway, who can deliver to any street address overnight ( mostly ) within the North Island and 2-3 days to the South Island. We have found Fastway economical and reliable. Delivery to rural addresses ( i.e. RD numbers ) is via NZ Post which is more expensive however we do not ship rifles or expensive, bulky items to RD addresses. We recommend that you remove cling-ons such as scope and sling when sending a complete rifle to us UNLESS you are requesting a complete rifle analysis. PLEASE include full instructions plus contact phone/fax/e-mail details and an accurate return address.
Important: insurance of any items sent to or from our premises is the owner's responsibility. We don't own it, so we can't insure it.
Approximate freight and packing charges:
|North Island||3kg $8||over 3kg $15|
|South Island||3 kg $10||over 3kg $20|
Small items can ship via NZ Courier bags overnight anywhere for $3 to $5, depending on size.
New Zealand does not suffer from the current "exploding parcel paranoia" of other countries such as Australia, so we can ship to overseas addresses via just about any method including Post, HOWEVER be warned; you must check the regulations of the destination country otherwise your shipment may be seized and either returned to us or destroyed. We will not accept responsibility for such actions. Air freight is generally ok anywhere but requires formal customs processes and is only economical for shipments with a value exceeding NZ$5000. We will be happy to quote our best air freight deal for higher value orders. Individual customers from the same country may choose to "pool" their orders to take advantage of air freight. We are happy to arrange this on request.
We recommend the use of "track and trace" with international post orders; this includes insurance up to a value of $1500 and costs NZ$15 extra. Please be aware that we cannot accept liability for parcels that are posted without insurance. This is the customer's option.
Some customers have a death wish when it comes to packaging. Sending a rifle (complete with $1000 scope attached) on a 500km journey wrapped only in a couple of layers of used corrugated cardboard or an old blanket is an invitation to disaster. The best place to get appropriate (and free) boxes is from your local fishing tackle shop, auto parts dealer or engineering supply outlet. Please be aware that we will send the item back in the packaging in which it was received unless it was totally unsuitable, in which case we will charge for the extra cladding.
Outwards shipments of rifle barrels and accessories will be securely packaged and clearly labelled with all necessary paperwork (e.g. for export). All items will be accurately described and valued for NZ and overseas Customs services without exception.
